General Information

  • The minimum age for the Half Marathon is 14 years of age on race day. Children under 14 years of age may enter the 4.5km or 10km events.
  • Online registrations will be open until 7.30am Saturday 15th of March 2025.
  • Race bib collection: Competitors must pick up their race bib at either the Friday pre-event registration at the Pāuanui Village Centre from 3.30pm- 8.00pm, or at the Saturday morning pre-event registration at the Pāuanui Beach Surf Life Saving Club 6.30am – 7.30am.
  • We advise competitors to aim for the Friday afternoon race bib pickup if possible.  
  • Race bib placement and electronic timing chip:  The race bib containing the entrant’s race number must be placed on the front of your singlet or shirt, where it is clearly visible. The timing chip is a shoe tag product and will be tied onto your shoe.
  • Course cut-off: The course closes at 12:30pm on Saturday 15th March 2025.
  • Prize giving will be held at 12:30pm at Race HQ (Pāuanui Surf Life Saving Club reserve, Pāuanui Boulevard). Recognition of our top finishers is something we value and will award at prize giving. We will recognise our top 3 athletes (male and female) in each race distance. Prize money will be presented to the first-place male and female across each distance. Spot prizes will also be awarded at this time. You must be present at prize giving to collect your spot prize.
  • Aid stations will be provided at the Pāuanui Beach Surf Life Saving Club reserve, at the 4.5km mark, 9.5km mark and at the 16.5km mark. You can view aid station locations on the course map. We will have water and electrolyte refill containers at all aid stations. Please note we are a cupless event. Pāuanui Half Marathon collapsible cups can be purchased on our event registration platform or at registration.

Terms & Conditions

  • Entries can be transferred to another person.  You can do this by signing in to your Race Roster profile and make this change yourself.  A $2.50 transfer fee will apply.
  • In the unlikely event of circumstances occurring which result in the event being cancelled, the total entry fee is not refundable but your entry will be transferred to the postponement date or the next year event.
  • Neither the Pāuanui Half Marathon organisers, sponsors nor other partners associated with the event shall have any responsibility for any liability, financial or otherwise, which might arise whether sustained by the entrant or any other part directly or indirectly associated with the entrant’s intended or actual participation in the event or its related activities.
  • The entrant agrees to abide by the race rules and follow the directions of the race officials and marshals. Failure to do so may result in disqualification.
  • Entrants acknowledge that part of this event will be held on public roads that are NOT closed to traffic. Entrants take part entirely at their own risk and will waive all claims against the organisers or sponsors.
  • Entrants authorise their name, voice or picture and any information included in their entry form to be used without payment in any broadcast, telecast, advertising promotion or in any other way relating to this event. Pursuant to the Privacy Act 1993.
  • The Race Director’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
